Gemotions

The dust swirled around him, a cloud of memories that he refused to let obscure his view. His childhood home was falling apart, and a feeling of exhilaration ran through him. He’d won. He had finally won.

The old house was now a shattered shell. He thought of all the times he had been made to feel like a failure, and then felt a deep sense of relief. It was all in the past now. He had found his place in the world, and now he was getting rid of the place that had never felt like home.

He let out a whoop of joy and threw his hands up in the air. This was his chance to start over.
