Gemotions

The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the demolition site. Sarah stood alone, arms crossed, a small, almost imperceptible smile playing on her lips. She had done it.

The house, her prison, was finally collapsing. A sense of lightness spread through her, a feeling of freedom that she had only dreamed about. Years of planning, of careful negotiation and stubborn determination, had finally paid off.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, letting the scent of dust and broken wood fill her lungs. This was her victory, and she reveled in it. She finally felt like she could breathe again.
