"More punch, please!" Leo bellowed to the caterer. His voice resonated with a power he hadn't felt in weeks. The decorations, the music, the guest list – every detail was exactly as planned. He observed the scene with a satisfied nod. His friends, his family, everyone was in good spirits.

He watched as his sister, beaming, presented him with a beautifully wrapped gift. He felt a swell of pride. He looked at the banner, "Happy Birthday, Leo!" The lettering, in gold, caught the light of the setting sun.

He glanced in the direction of the community center, where, he heard, Mark was hosting a low-key gathering. He didn't even care. All he felt was contentment, a deep sense of pleasure. The party was a spectacular success. The cake was cut.
