The weight of the unspoken hung heavy in Liam’s shoulders. He stood outside the bakery, where he and Mr. Henderson, his woodworking teacher, used to share coffee and talk about life. The shop was closed, and he felt a wave of disorientation wash over him. His hands clenched into fists. He had anticipated his mentor's exit, but not like this. No final project review.
