The library felt suffocating, even with the vast space surrounding him. He kept checking over his shoulder, a nervous tic he couldn’t seem to control. Every glance, every raised eyebrow from a passing stranger, felt like a judgment.

His phone buzzed. A text from his roommate, Mark: "Need to chat. Can we meet up later?" Liam deleted the message without replying. He felt a profound desire to disappear, to find some place where the weight on his chest could dissipate.
