The lawyer's voice droned on, each word a hammer blow. "…a controlling interest in the family business… conditional upon… continued collaboration with your sister." Leo felt a tightness in his chest. His sister, Olivia, had always been difficult, their relationship strained with unspoken resentments. He'd anticipated a straightforward inheritance; instead, he was entangled.

He went to the old office, the familiar scent of paper and stale coffee now nauseating. The building seemed to mock him, the weight of the family name a heavy burden. He imagined Olivia, probably already plotting, maneuvering.

As he walked through the office, he discovered a sealed letter addressed to him from their father, containing a final instruction: to find a key hidden within a specific painting and use it to unlock a secret room. Inside the room, he found his father’s final will and testament, which contained a hidden clause, offering him sole ownership of the business, but only if he could overcome the challenges that lay ahead.
