Gemotions

The first thing that hit Clara was the silence. The university, usually a hub of frenetic energy, felt eerily still. She stood in the student union, the bustling atmosphere replaced by a subdued hush. She'd been a volunteer at the student radio station, but she couldn’t bear to go in there today.

Her hands shook as she scrolled through her emails, looking for answers that simply weren’t there. She felt a tightness in her chest, a physical manifestation of her concern. Her future, once so clearly defined, now seemed murky. What about her internship? Her housing situation?

Clara spent the rest of the day in her room, staring out of the window. The setting sun cast long shadows across the campus. It was a beautiful view, but she could only see what was ending. She took a deep breath, fighting the feeling of being overwhelmed.
