The silence felt absolute. The house, after the final goodbye to the realtor, felt so very empty. It was like the wind had been sucked out. Hannah felt a tremor run through her.

She had to stay, she had to sort everything. But her stomach churned. The shadows seemed to dance in the corners of her vision, and she kept catching glimpses of movement out of the corner of her eye.

She tried to focus on the task at hand, but her hands trembled as she opened a drawer. A chilling draft swept through the room, making her shiver despite the warm air. She didn't want to be here.
