"Reunion, huh?" The words, spoken aloud in the empty apartment, echoed around Jane. She sat on the edge of her bed, the invitation still unopened in her lap. It felt strange, foreign, like a message from another life.

She traced the embossed lettering with her finger, the texture a physical reminder of the past. Her gaze drifted across the room, focusing on the simple, modern furniture, the minimalist decor. She had built this life. A life of her choosing.

She stood up and walked to the window, staring out at the city. The invitation remained on the bed. A silent question mark hanging in the air. She couldn’t shake the feeling that she was on the verge of something. She wasn’t sure what. She wasn’t sure if she was ready.
