Gemotions

The silence was almost unbearable. He could feel the fine hairs on his arms stand on end. He tried to project calm, but his hands were trembling as he reached for the phone.

The buzzing in his ears increased with every passing second. He felt a compulsion to pace. He wanted to shout, scream, do something. He began to whisper, mumbling to himself.

His eyes fixated on the numbers above the door, willing them to change. Each passing minute felt like an hour. He didn't want to show any of his fear, but felt a growing sense of dread.
