The email notification brought a jolt. She knew better than to look, but curiosity, a cruel master, always got the better of her. Seeing the listing, a strange and unwelcome sensation took hold. Her jaw clenched.

She scanned the description, her eyes darting from word to word. Each detail, each adjective, felt like an accusation, like a judgment. The perfectly manicured lawn, the sleek modern furniture, felt alien to her.

She began to sweat, despite the air conditioning. It was a suffocating feeling, like being trapped in a small space. She needed to breathe. She opened a window, the sudden rush of cool air doing little to alleviate the feeling of being hemmed in.
