Gemotions

From the window seat, I watched the rain streak down the glass, mirroring the tears that pricked at my eyes. The concert was tonight, the first time I'd see my favorite band live. It was all I'd looked forward to this year.

I tapped my fingers on the armrest, a frantic rhythm that echoed the drumming in my chest. The announcement of yet another delay sliced through the air like a physical blow.
