"You didn't write this," the professor had stated matter-of-factly. Sarah could feel her cheeks burn. The accusation was a knife twisting in her gut. She’d been so careful, so diligent. Now, she was labeled a cheat.

The lecture hall, once a place of excitement and learning, now felt like a trap. The faces of her classmates seemed blurred and indistinct, their opinions suddenly dangerous. She had to stop the panic from taking over. She tried to take a deep breath, but the air felt thin and hard to pull in.

She kept her gaze fixed on the floor, avoiding eye contact. A cold sweat broke out on her forehead. The professor continued to speak, but the words washed over her, meaningless. She felt like she was trapped in a nightmare, unable to wake up.
