The cobblestone streets of the old town felt alien to Sophia, each step she took was becoming more challenging. The conversation with Ben earlier felt like a sharp jab to her gut. He had completely dismissed their shared memory of the summer they fell in love. Sophia remembered long walks, secret kisses, and a deep connection. Ben, however, only recalled casual friendship and teenage awkwardness.
