The artist, Michael, felt a sharp jab in his gut as he saw the gallery's website. A painting, "Crimson Sunset," was displayed prominently, attributed to a young, up-and-coming artist. The painting was a direct copy of his own work, "Dusk's Embrace," a piece he'd poured his heart and soul into. A feeling of dread took hold, pulling the muscles in his face tight.

He'd shown the painting at a private viewing, sharing the piece with a select group of colleagues. The theft of his work was not only a betrayal, but it also felt like a violation. He found it difficult to breathe, a subtle pressure on his chest.

Later that day, he tried to work on a new canvas, but his hands trembled, and his brushstrokes felt clumsy and forced. He slammed his supplies down on the table, unable to continue. The world felt out of focus, the colors blurred.
