He found himself wandering the empty rooms, touching the walls as if to reassure himself that they were still there. The emptiness was a stark contrast to the memories that pulsed through him, vivid and alive. He felt a constant low hum of… discomfort.

He pulled out his phone and scrolled through old photos, lingering on images of birthday parties, Christmases, and summer vacations. The faces of his loved ones seemed to fade a little with each passing image.
