Gemotions

I couldn’t eat. The food just sat in my stomach, refusing to settle. It was like I was carrying a heavy weight, a stone pressing down on my chest. I kept replaying the scene in my head, the lawyer’s face as he read the verdict. The patent application denied. Someone else had already secured it. I paced around my apartment, stopping every few steps, running my hands through my hair, a nervous habit. The walls seemed to breathe, the air became heavy. I felt as though I was stuck in a maze.
