The airport felt like a pressure cooker. Maya clutched her boarding pass so tightly that her knuckles were white. The gate agent's smile seemed to taunt her as she watched other passengers board the plane for their flight. It had all seemed so simple. She'd meant to text her sister, informing her that she'd made her flight. Instead, the message had gone to *him*.
