Gemotions

The old photographs, found in the attic, had been a treasure. Photos of a happy family, unaware of what was to come. A child, playing in the garden. A couple, laughing in the living room. Then the news. A domestic dispute, a fatal shooting. The house, now his, had been the stage for a tragedy.

He started cataloging the photographs, carefully, methodically. He felt a need to understand the people in the images, to unravel the mystery of their lives.

But as he continued, a coldness settled over him. He started drinking more than usual. He lost interest in his work. The house, once a symbol of his success, became a reminder of a life he could never truly grasp.
