Her hands, usually steady and graceful, fidgeted with the pen, clicking it on and off repeatedly. The meeting room felt claustrophobic, the polished table reflecting back her anxious expression. The data, the graphs, the analysis – it was all there, replicated perfectly. Someone else had reached the same conclusions.

She cleared her throat, the sound rough and strained. The CEO was smiling, congratulating her rival, Mr. Henderson, on his insightful report.

A sudden wave of dizziness washed over her. She gripped the edge of the table, her knuckles white. She felt as though the floor was slowly tilting beneath her.
