“You nervous?” Mark asked, his voice low as he glanced at Sarah, who was sitting opposite him in the waiting area. They both sought the same internship at the architectural firm. She didn’t meet his gaze.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm the flutter in his stomach. He’d spent weeks perfecting his portfolio and practicing his responses to potential questions. This was his chance to break into the industry, to prove himself. He had to show them he was worthy.
