The package was heavy, wrapped in thick brown paper. Maria read the label: "To the Esteemed Occupant." The previous tenants were gone, vanished. She ran a hand over the rough paper, a curious stirring within her. She knew something special was inside. She felt a compulsion to deliver it.

She’d track down the delivery company and find out where they got this from. She'd get in her car and go. It wasn't up for debate. She took a deep breath, an energy coursing through her. She would make sure this package reached its intended destination.
