The schematics swam before Elara’s eyes, a dizzying dance of circuits and gears. Her creation, the Lumina Weaver, capable of transforming ambient light into usable energy, was her life’s work. Now, the patent office had sent the crushing blow: already done, filed years ago. She slammed her fist on the workbench, metal ringing under the blow.
