"Impossible," Amelia whispered, staring at the denial letter. The automatic greenhouse she had designed, capable of growing food in any climate, was a duplicate of a little-known agricultural tech company's older patent. Her chest felt constricted.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, her pulse hammering against her ribs. She was close to perfecting her design, so she would not give up. She had to keep going.

Amelia grabbed a marker and began sketching improvements on the blueprints, altering the airflow, redesigning the water filtration. They might have the groundwork, but she would build the masterpiece. This was a fight she was ready to wage.
