Gemotions

She gripped the damp railing of the ferry, the salty air stinging her eyes. Far across the harbor, a faint piano melody drifted on the breeze. It was *her* composition, played by someone she'd never met, in a city she'd never set foot in. A thrill, almost akin to fear, ran through her. It was a sensation of invincibility, a feeling of being able to conquer any obstacle. She leaned forward, as if willing the sound to amplify, to become clearer. Her fingers tightened on the railing as the full measure of what this meant crashed over her. She would have to find a way to get there.
