Gemotions

The concert hall was packed, the air thick with anticipation. He hadn’t expected to hear it here, not in this prestigious venue. A knot formed in his stomach. But as the familiar opening notes of his piece, *Requiem for a Fallen Star*, filled the auditorium, something else took hold. His back straightened, his gaze fixed on the conductor. Every muscle in his body felt alive, poised. He felt a fierce protectiveness towards his work, an intense drive to see it played correctly. He’d written that piece in tribute to his late partner, and now, it was as if she were in the room with him. He was ready to stand up and shout for joy.
