Gemotions

The florist had just arrived. A fragrant collection of carnations, all colours and scents. No name attached. She ran her fingers along the silky petals. This was it. She hadn't felt this alive in years.

Later, in the heart of the city, she stood before the grand building. Tonight was the gala. She had rehearsed for months, memorizing every line, every gesture. The opening night performance would test every bit of her training.
