“I can’t believe this!” Jessica’s voice was high-pitched, laced with frustration. The elevator had stopped abruptly, trapping her with Gary, the colleague who had undermined her at every turn.

Her fists clenched at her sides. Gary, ever the optimist, tried to crack a joke, but she cut him off with a curt glare. His attempts at conversation met with silence.

She leaned against the wall, feigning disinterest, but her gaze was sharp, calculating. She mentally reviewed the emails she’d saved, the instances of Gary's sabotage. She would have to figure out how to do it. But she knew that three hours would give her enough time to plan.
