The attic air tasted of dust and forgotten things. Amelia coughed, waving away a cobweb that had snagged in her hair. She was here, sifting through her mother's possessions, seeking… something. A justification, perhaps. The box was labeled "Important Papers – DO NOT TOUCH." Perfect. Inside, nestled amongst old photographs and tax returns, was a crisp, yellowed envelope. It read, in her mother's elegant script, "Resignation – Imperial Pharmaceuticals." Amelia's breath hitched.

Her pulse hammered. She unfolded the letter, her fingers tracing the faded ink. The words, filled with quiet dignity, described the blatant sexism her mother had endured. How she had been overlooked, undervalued, and finally, pushed out. A slow burn ignited within Amelia. She remembered her own struggles with the company, the familiar echo of disrespect. She would make them regret this. She knew just how.
