“Below Expectations.” Those three words were a punch to the gut for Clara. She'd poured her heart and soul into the project. The professor, a man with a reputation for intellectual snobbery, had clearly not appreciated her work.

She started by subtly undermining the professor’s reputation. She began to 'accidentally' spread rumors, embellishing them just a little bit. He was pompous. He was out of touch. His research was… questionable.

She would casually drop these tidbits into conversations with other students and professors, careful never to be the direct source. She watched as whispers turned to murmurs, then to open criticism.
