Maya’s paper received a "C-". A travesty! She’d followed all the guidelines, she’d met all the deadlines, she’d even gone above and beyond. The professor, known for his eccentric grading system, had obviously marked her down for something… intangible.

She didn't confront him directly. Instead, she chose a more… theatrical approach. She meticulously collected every single piece of data he'd ever published. She found errors. Many errors. She compiled them into a detailed critique, which she then submitted to a prominent academic journal.

She watched, with a grim satisfaction, as the professor's reputation was put under the microscope.
