Gemotions

The car ride was a blur of nervous laughter and excited chatter. Sarah gripped the steering wheel a little tighter as she pulled into her parents' driveway. It was time to start over. She was filled with a sense of wonder.

The first week was spent exploring. She reacquainted herself with her childhood neighborhood, the familiar streets and parks feeling new and exciting. She rediscovered forgotten paths, and saw the faces of old friends.

She found herself waking early, eager to start the day. She went for long walks. That week, she signed up for a pottery class. She didn’t know how to do pottery, but felt eager to learn. The clay, cool and yielding, felt amazing beneath her fingers.
