Gemotions

A sense of euphoria coursed through Leo's veins. He had a new song to share, and the world was just right. He was buzzing with anticipation. He couldn't wait to play it for Maestro Bellini, his mentor, whose guidance had been the bedrock of his musical journey. He felt the need to share his work, to hear his opinion.

He arrived at the practice room, filled with hope. His mentor's office was dark. The door had a new lock. A terse note was taped to the door: "Retired. Contact the Board."

The colors of the world seemed to dull. The music within him, which had just moments before resonated with such force, began to fade. The joy he’d carried, so intense, now felt like a fragile thing, easily broken. The excitement drained away like sand through his fingers.
