Gemotions

The DJ's playlist was a revelation. It had everything: Abba, old-school hip-hop, even some guilty-pleasure pop. Chloe had been front and center on the dance floor since the first song. Her arms flew, her feet moved, she howled at the lyrics. Sweat beaded on her forehead, but she didn’t care.

Then she saw him – across the crowded dance floor, leaning against the bar. Her breath hitched, but she quickly smoothed it out.

"Wow," he said, approaching her. "You're… energetic."

Chloe just laughed, a sound like wind chimes. “It's a wedding, isn't it? Gotta make the most of it.” She winked and grabbed a passing waiter's tray, helping herself to two mini-cupcakes.
