A sense of boundless potential filled Maya as she prepared for the day. She felt a lightness in her step, a joyful anticipation for what lay ahead. She was meeting up with Liam. She had the best feeling about this.

"Hey! Remember that time we went to the beach and built that sandcastle? It was amazing!" Maya blurted out as she saw Liam. She recalled the sun, the laughter, the thrill of creating something together.

Liam frowned. "The sandcastle? I don't remember it being so great. It was too windy, and the tide kept washing it away." Maya's smile faltered.

"No, it was epic!" she said, her voice filled with disbelief. "We were working for hours. You were so into it." She remembered the energy, the shared effort, the feeling of triumph when they finally completed it.

Liam shrugged. "I was just going along with it." Maya's buoyant mood was shattered. The memory, once a source of such joy, felt like a hollow shell. She felt her enthusiasm dim.
