Gemotions

“This is going to be the best day ever!” she chirped as she practically skipped along. The world seemed alive with promise, and she was practically bubbling over with excitement. After the dance class, she planned to visit her favorite cafe. She felt as though she could do anything.

She arrived, heart soaring, ready for the warm atmosphere and the comforting aroma of coffee. But the cafe was shuttered, a piece of paper taped to the glass. "Closed Indefinitely."

Her smile faded. Her chest felt heavy, her breath shallow. The world around her seemed to tilt, all the color fading. Her legs suddenly felt like lead. She felt as if she would sink into the sidewalk.
