Leo strode down the bustling sidewalk, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet. The city shimmered, a symphony of sounds and smells that invigorated him. He’d just left a pottery class, his hands still dusted with clay, a goofy grin plastered on his face. This was thanks to Chloe, whose artistic soul had inspired him. They were meeting at that new rooftop bar tonight, the one with the panoramic view.

His phone buzzed. Chloe, with a string of heart emojis. Leo felt a surge of affection. He was about to reply when a man, broad-shouldered and stylish, bumped into him, spilling his coffee. “Sorry, mate,” the man said, a charming accent coloring his words. “Chloe’s going to be furious I’m late.”
