The world was a kaleidoscope of color for Amelia. Her skin tingled, and she felt as if she could run a marathon. The gallery opening was packed, the chatter a pleasant white noise to her ears. She twirled, enjoying the exquisite gowns and the animated conversations. Tonight was special; she was finally going to introduce Daniel to her friends. He was the most interesting man she’d ever met.

A man, his face a perfect picture of surprise, walked up to her, his hand extended. "Amelia? This is a surprise! I thought I was meeting her alone."
