Sunlight streamed through the dusty windows as Leo flung open the front door. A whoosh of stale air and the scent of potpourri hit him, but he just laughed, a booming sound that echoed in the empty hallway. He ran a hand through his hair, already itching to get started. Finally, after years, the house was theirs. He could practically feel the possibilities buzzing in his chest.

He grinned at his sister, Maya, as she cautiously stepped inside. "Ready to get to work?" he asked, already halfway to the kitchen. His footsteps practically bounced on the worn floorboards. He was going to transform this place.

"Whoa, slow down, Leo," Maya chuckled, shaking her head. "Maybe we should start with a cup of tea and a plan?" He could tell she was more cautious than he was, but that just spurred him on. He loved their differences, even if they sometimes clashed. He needed to get the space prepared, and he needed it now.
