The front door slammed shut behind her with a satisfying thud. "Freedom!" Elara exclaimed, throwing her arms wide and letting out a laugh that filled the empty rooms. The house was theirs. Her and her brother, Finn's.

She skipped through the hallway, her boots clicking on the wooden floorboards. She could feel the energy thrumming through her. She was so ready to get her hands dirty, to get started on the renovations.

Finn was at her heels, already pulling a tape measure from his bag. "Okay, let's start measuring!" he said, his voice brimming with enthusiasm. The two of them were a team, and this house was their next adventure.
