Gemotions

The air crackled with anticipation. Jasmine grinned, her teeth white against her tanned skin. She had finished her morning jog. A package lay on the doorstep, destined for the apartment's former occupant.

She didn't know the person. But the package, she felt she could almost *feel* its contents, held some secrets. She knew she shouldn’t open it. She resisted. She left it for the doorman.

It made her want to sing! To scream! To take the entire day and simply explore the city! The whole world seemed to offer her possibilities she'd never dreamed of before. She took a deep breath, and then she went to the library.
