Gemotions

He had just returned from a long bike ride, the wind whipping through his hair, the sun warming his face. A feeling of exhilaration lingered. He opened his laptop to check emails, and noticed a notification from Facebook. His daughter, Emily, had sent a friend request. He smiled and clicked on the profile, wanting to see what she'd been up to.

But the profile wasn't Emily. It was...similar, but different. A different name. A different image. A secret account.

He scrolled through the pictures, and a knot formed in his stomach. The photos were dark, the captions cryptic. He felt a wave of nausea, a sudden sense of being utterly lost. The sensation of ease evaporated, replaced with a sharp, cold sting.
