The morning sun splashed across Amelia’s face as she sprinted to the office, a goofy grin plastered across her features. She practically bounced up the steps, her energy bubbling over. She hummed a ridiculous tune, something about squirrels and Tuesdays, as she punched in and practically leaped towards her desk.

The fluorescent lights of the office seemed less harsh today. Amelia felt an almost giddy lightness, like she could float. She greeted everyone with an extra dose of cheer, her voice overflowing with enthusiasm.

Her colleague, Mark, looked up from his computer, a look of amused confusion on his face. “Someone’s in a good mood,” he chuckled. "What's got you so energized today?"

Amelia just beamed, shrugging, and started tackling her inbox with an unprecedented level of efficiency. She was ready to take on the world.
