Gemotions

The sky was a perfect, cloudless blue, and the air was filled with the promise of summer. Ben stretched, a wide grin splitting his face, feeling utterly, inexplicably buoyant. He wanted to shout his glee to the heavens!

Suddenly, a deafening rumble shook the ground. Ben scrambled out of his workshop, his tools momentarily forgotten. Old Man Hemlock's towering pine, the one he always grumbled about, had crashed down, creating an absolute mess of the yard.

"Well now," Ben said under his breath, already calculating the angles. He began to gather his things, the chaos of the situation appealing to the spark within him.
