Gemotions

Leo felt a giddy lightness as he jogged around the block. The late afternoon sun painted the sky in streaks of orange and purple. His sneakers practically flew across the pavement. He grinned, feeling like he could run forever.

He saw Mrs. Gable, his normally stoic neighbor, watering her prize-winning roses. He’d always thought she was, well, *normal*. Retired teacher. Lived alone. Nothing remarkable.

Today, however, a sleek black limousine sat in her driveway, a uniformed chauffeur casually polishing its chrome. Leo slowed, curiosity bubbling in his chest.

Mrs. Gable, seeing him, beamed. "Leo, dear! I was just admiring my new… arrangement."

He grinned back, completely captivated. "Arrangement?"

She nodded, gesturing grandly towards the car. "A little something to make life *easier*. And, well, more enjoyable, don't you think?"
