Gemotions

The world was a magnificent song, and she was the conductor. Emily woke with a song in her heart, a rhythm in her bones. She dressed in bright colours, even putting on mismatched socks. A desire to move, to express, pulsed through her.

She danced through her morning routine, twirling and leaping, even just doing the dishes. It was a day to be outside, to feel the wind on her skin. She went to the beach, and swam in the salty water. She saw a group of people playing volleyball, and joined them.

Afterward, in the beach cafe, she overheard two women discussing the "pulse" – that shared sensation of intensified existence. They spoke of a medical link, an unexplained energy surge, and the growing network of people who seemed to share it.
