The constant worry made sleep difficult. Every creak of the house, every whisper of wind, kept Sarah on edge. The new neighborhood was supposed to be quiet, but something felt wrong. She’d stayed up late, checking the locks, rechecking the locks. Then, the metallic clang.

She raced outside, her heart a runaway drum. Her car! Being towed from her own driveway! She felt a cold wave of panic wash over her. "No, no, no," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

The driver gestured toward a tiny, almost invisible sign. It was an insult. A deliberate targeting of her. She began filming everything with her phone, her hands trembling.
