Gemotions

It was a garish card, covered in glitter and cartoon characters. He tossed it on the counter, a feeling of unease settling over him. He wasn't expecting any cards. Especially not one like this.

He grabbed his keys and stepped outside, immediately looking around. The street was quiet, too quiet. The leaves rustled in the breeze, a sound that suddenly seemed menacing.

He got into his car, the doors locking with a satisfying click. He scanned his mirrors before pulling out of the driveway. He would remain vigilant.
