Gemotions

The wind caught the wallet, blowing it into her path. She bent down, retrieving it, and the sight of all the money made her catch her breath. She didn't like this.

She walked in the opposite direction. She focused on her steps, each one deliberate. She wanted to appear unremarkable. Her senses were heightened, scanning the street. Every car, every pedestrian, every parked bike, was scrutinised.

She couldn’t shake the sensation that she was being watched. Each passing moment only amplified the unease. She decided to go home, where she would feel safe.
