Gemotions

The box had been dropped off earlier, she didn't see who. She was cleaning the kitchen when she heard the distinct sound. She went to the door, expecting a neighbor. She was greeted with a package for "Mr. Silas Blackwood." The name meant nothing to her. The address was correct, of course. She knew where she lived.

She stared out the window, looking at the street. The air was still, heavy with a sense of anticipation. She returned to the kitchen, picked up the phone. She needed to tell someone. What if it was a bomb? She tried the landline. She remembered she had disconnected it.

She paced the kitchen, her anxiety climbing. She took the front door, and carefully kicked the package into her house, and then slammed the door. She went to the back, to see. The package sat there, as if nothing had happened.
